FDA Patient Listening Session
In 2025, Aviva Strategies partnered with the pulmonary fibrosis (PF) patient community to conceptualize and convene an FDA patient listening session. PF remains a universally fatal disease, with few therapeutic options. Aviva stepped-in to convene multiple patient organizations, patient advocates, and providers to design an agenda to educate FDA and NIH staff about the unique challenges facing the PF community. Over 50 government officials attended the session, and a public summary is now permanently available on the FDA website.
Introduction of the FAIR Act
For years, patients and the biotechnology industry have seen the steady offshoring of clinical trials. For patients, access to a clinical trial can be life-changing and in some cases, life-saving. But too many trials are being conducted outside of the US, driving a clinical trial access gap that can also lead to gaps for marketed products. Aviva has supported advocacy efforts that enabled the introduction of the FAIR Act (HR 7953), legislation intended to ensure patient access to clinical trials and innovative products in other trusted nations (e.g. EU, UK, Canada).

ARPA-H GO Coalition
ARPA-H is one of the newest health agencies and for years, lacked a robust and centralized advocacy movement. In 2026, Aviva launched ARPA-H GO, a diverse coalition of patient organizations, research institutions, industry leaders, and innovators to champion the continued growth and success of ARPA-H. The coalition works to highlight ARPA-H's unique role in accelerating breakthrough biomedical innovation through high-risk, high-reward research that has the potential to transform patient care. By coordinating stakeholder engagement, developing strategic advocacy initiatives, and fostering dialogue with federal policymakers, the coalition has helped build awareness of ARPA-H's impact and strengthen support for sustained and growing investment in cutting-edge health innovation.
